Welcome to Communications & Community Engagement

Welcome to our vibrant Communications Department! We're here to connect and engage every member within and beyond our district through trusted communication channels. Using various tools like writing, photography, and social media, we share stories that resonate with our community.

We're more than messengers; we build relationships and seek to nurture bonds with our stakeholders. Our commitment to timely and accurate information ensures transparency and celebrates our district's pursuit of excellence to enhance our purpose, support our people, and strengthen our partnerships.

SCUC ISD Education Foundation

The SCUC ISD Education Foundation was created in 2008 when a group of like-minded community members decided to give back to the teachers of the district. Foundation founders studied other local school district foundations and decided that even though SCUC ISD was a smaller district at the time, the teachers and staff could stand to have some financial help when it came to implementing innovative teaching initiatives through the district.

In August 2022, the Foundation paused to review and refine is mission and its vision for the programs and projects it would fund for the future. The organization partnered with Foundation Innovation, a consultant firm that seeks to support and strengthen education foundations around the state of Texas. That one year of revitalization resulted in an increase in board membership, a renewed clarity in the mission, and a strategic development plan that would serve to better connect the community to work together to support students, teachers, and the staff in SCUC ISD.
