The Clemens Aquatics program had some major successes over the weekend at the UIL Region VII-6A Swimming & Diving Championships.
Clemens had FOUR relays (two girls relays and two boys relays) qualify for REGIONAL FINALS.
Out of all of the schools in UIL District 27-6A, Clemens had the highest point total, doubling the next-closest school and more than quadrupling our sister school's point total:
Clemens: 42
East Central: 20
Canyon: 11
Steele: 10
Judson: 2
San Marcos: 0
Additionally, freshman Brylee Valle made the All-Region team with a 6th place finish in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. Her time of 1:06.72 broke the Clemens 100 Breastroke record that stood for 20 years.
The girls 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (Lyla Micklos, Alanna Revis, Elianna Chacon, and Brylee Valle) also broke the SCHOOL RECORD for a second time this season with a time of 1:43.99. As a team, Clemens Aquatics student-athletes had 19 best times at Regionals.
