Clemens Varsity Wrestling held strong after Day 1 of the District meet held in NEISD in San Antonio.
Coach Rogers reports:
Gio Luera, Hadrian Edwards, Kayla Pacheco, and Kyllysta Dawkins continue on the Championship side of the bracket in pursuit of 1st place.
Rykardo Villafuerte, Lucas Raymond, Joey Phillips, AJ Rogers, Josh Martin, Vance Fredrick, Ayden Roberts, Cullen Gorman, Jacob Drake, Evan Garza, Kamille Halcromb, Kristina Paniagua, Jocelynn Cerino, Stephanie Wilson, and Michelle Hoffman fight back on the Consolation side of the bracket in pursuit for 3rd place.
Unfortunately, Juliette Bentley has been eliminated from the tournament due to an injury—but is doing ok and wishes the team good luck. We wish her a speedy recovery as well.
Currently, the boys' team sits in 9th place, and the girls' team is in 6th place.
