Seventeen (17!) of our Samuel Clemens JROTC cadets showed exceptional pride and tenacity during the JROTC Summer Leadership Camp held at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, June 3rd through 8th.
Cadets braved a rigorous schedule that included a 5 AM wake-up call, physical training, drill, academics, team building, sports, room and uniform inspections, and did not retire until 10 o'clock in the evening. This camp featured roughly 500 cadets from across the state of Texas,
providing an excellent opportunity and experience for their leadership development. Four of our Samuel Clemens cadets earned "Distinguished Graduate" honors for finishing in the top 10% of the cadet rankings.
