Serving Grades 5 and 6
Students join us to gain knowledge and leave equipped to take charge! We understand that we play a crucial role in the beginning of our students' lifelong educational paths. With this in mind, we are committed to laying a strong foundation for their development. We build meaningful connections within the community and motivate our students to embrace lifelong learning and become innovative leaders. Our dedicated educators focus on nurturing these future leaders and lifelong learners. As a proud member of our community, we instill confidence, independence, and self-sufficiency in our students. They learn that while they may not control everything, they can influence what matters. Our mission is to ensure that our students not only achieve academic excellence but also grow into leaders ready for life beyond our campus. Furthermore, we strive to help our students discover their interests and passions.
Elaine S. Schlather Intermediate provides students with a safe environment and a challenging education that inspires their individual potential to become productive citizens.

As your student progresses through 5th and 6th grade at Schlather Intermediate, they not only build a stronger academic base but also broaden their social circles and experiences.
As their academic foundation expands in the classroom at Dobie Junior High or Corbett Junior High, depending on their address, their circle of friends and experiences will grow through athletics, fine arts, UIL contests, National Junior Honors Society, and more.
At Byron P Steele II High School or Clemens High School, your child will excel academically and socially while embracing traditions and memories that will last throughout their life. Your child has the freedom and support to pursue their passions in a variety of nationally recognized programs, organizations and clubs from athletics to JROTC, band, dance, photography, UIL and more.
