The SCUC Board of Trustees unanimously approved the recommendation to hire Debra Rebec as the new principal to lead the District Alternative Education Program (DAEP) campus at the called board meeting on June 4th.
Rebec comes to DAEP with 26 years of education experience, spending 18 of them as assistant principal at Steele HS and Samuel Clemens High School. Her responsibilities during her career include Campus Behavior Coordinator, Truancy Court Liaison, and DAEP hearing officer. “My vision is that ‘All students CAN succeed with the right environment and support system,’” Rebec said.
She now resides in Cibolo with her two children. Rebec’s daughter, Avery, graduated from Steele HS last weekend, and her son, Cody, will be attending 4th grade at Watts Elementary next school year. “
