The SCUC Board of Trustees unanimously approved the recommendation to hire Justin Linthicum as the new principal at Byron P. Steele High School at the called board meeting on June 4th.
“I am eager to help sustain and grow the legacy of excellence that was established back in August of 2005 when the doors to Byron P. Steele first opened,” said Mr. Linthicum, who spent six years at Steele HS as an English teacher and head soccer coach prior to serving in a similar capacity at Marion ISD.
Most recently, Linthicum served as high school Associate-Principal of Steele High School. He served as High School assistant principal, Campus Discipline Coordinator and DAEP principal for Marion ISD. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English from UT - Permian Basin in 2009 and a Masters in Education Leadership from West Texas A&M in 2017.
